Zee French Version…

Special Ops was recently released in France and a bunch of other French speaking territories… I am looking forward to hearing who dubbed my voice! Anyway, I found this ‘French’ poster online and I love it!  I wish the American version was this cool, but it seems like the foreign guys get it right more often than we do when in comes to marketing a film… Here is a low resolution version (its all that I could find)…

The tagline is, ‘Le Jeu Commence Maintenant’ which translates to ‘The Game Begins Now’…   French trailer to come soon after I find one!

Young Storytellers…

Had an awesome experience yesterday when I volunteered for the Young Storytellers Foundation.  This is a great foundation set up to promote literacy through the art of storytelling.

I acted out the stories of some of the children in the program, who are mentored to create their own story.  Most of the stuff was hilarious and the kids were ridiculously creative.  My good friend and talented actress, Alice Hunter, invited me to join her, and I am so glad I did.  Alice is one of the mentors, who coaches, encourages and provides positive reinforcement for the kids.  The Mentors give the young writers the opportunity to fully explore and express their individual creative voices.

Most of the other actors were from kids shows, but I am sure they were delighted to have someone who stars in late night action movies join them, even if they won’t be allowed to watch them for another 10 years (haha)…

Anyway, please support and check out the Young Storytellers Foundation.  It is a great program, and a great cause.  Here is some info on them, and a link to their website:

The Young Storytellers Foundation develops literacy through the art of storytelling. Using group exercises and one-on-one mentoring, we provide underserved children in the public school system an opportunity to write stories and see them brought to life through performance. Our mission is to inspire children to discover the power of their own voice.

Black Belt… to the 3rd Degree

Wanted to thank David Bluestein, Jarrett Waldman, Michael Margolin, Kelly Campbell, and Darren Levine for promoting me to 3rd Dan in Krav Maga.  I am both excited and honored.  Would also like to thank all of my training partners… And perhaps most of all, all of my students across the country and world, who make me a better teacher, and who challenge me to make them better teachers, so that more people can ‘Go Home Safe’ everyday… KIDA!!

Pit Bull Sunday, Come Join Us Today!

Every 2nd Sunday of the month, you can find my favorite charity, ANGEL CITY PIT BULLS,  on the hilltop with all of our current adore-a-bull, adopt-a-bull pit bulls!

Please come and join us … whether you want to come out and just visit, volunteer, or maybe even meet your new best friend! Be sure to tell everyone you know as well!

The event goes from 11am to 4pm, however if you are volunteering we would love some early birds at 10:30 to help us with set-up, and some late comers to help with take-down.

Go to (www.angelcitypits.org) for more information.

Hope to see you in the park!

Ever seen ‘The League’ on FX?

Its hilarious, and is about one of my favorite topics, Fantasy Football!

Anyway, I will be on ‘The League’ tonight (Dec. 8th) on FX… I am basically playing myself, except I am a Krav Maga student, not the teacher. Try not to blink or you may miss me! Haha…

Here is a clip of Eliza Dushku playing the Krav Maga instructor.  She was hilarious and really cool!
